911: What's Your Emergency?
Andrew, an excited 8-year-old, learns about calling 911 and its importance at school. When an emergency strikes, he must remember what he learned and apply it to save the day.
Andrew was thrilled after the school assembly. A 911 dispatcher had visited and taught the class when and how to call 911. He couldn't wait to share everything he learned with his sister Maddie on their walk home.

- Maddie, guess what we learned today! Andrew exclaimed as they walked home. - What did you learn? Maddie asked. - We learned all about calling 911! Andrew replied excitedly. - Wow, that sounds important! Maddie said.
As they walked, they saw smoke coming from a house down the street. Andrew's heart started to race. - Maddie, look! That house is on fire! Andrew shouted.
- Oh no, what should we do? Maddie asked, panicking. Andrew remembered what the dispatcher said and pulled out his phone. - We need to call 911, Andrew said, dialing the number.
Andrew explained the situation to the 911 dispatcher, who asked for their location and details about the fire. - Please stay calm and stay on the line, the dispatcher said. - We're sending help right away.
Andrew and Maddie waited nervously as they heard the sirens approaching. Soon, fire trucks arrived, and firefighters quickly began to put out the fire. Andrew hoped everyone inside was safe.

- Maybe we can tell the firefighters, Andrew suggested. They ran over to a firefighter and told him about the cat. - Thank you for letting us know, the firefighter said and rushed to rescue the cat.
Despite their efforts, the cat seemed too scared to come down. - Maybe it's too frightened, Maddie said sadly. - We did all we could, Andrew replied, feeling a bit defeated.
Andrew felt like giving up, but he remembered the dispatcher's words about staying calm and not losing hope. - Let's try one more time, Andrew said to Maddie. - Okay, Maddie agreed.
Andrew had an idea. - What if we use a ladder and some treats to coax the cat down? he suggested. - That might work! Maddie said, smiling.
