Kian started looking under the bed. He saw lots of dust bunnies but no bangle. He checked the toy box next. Still nothing. - Maybe it's in the kitchen, he thought. Off he went, with determination.
In the kitchen, Kian opened every drawer. But only found spoons and forks. - Where could it be? he wondered. He felt a bit sad. But he didn't want to give up.
Kian went to the garden. He dug around in the flower pots. But saw only worms and dirt. - Maybe it's in the treehouse, he thought. He climbed up quickly.
The treehouse was empty except for some birds. - Hello, birds! Have you seen a bangle? Kian asked. They chirped but gave no clue. Kian sighed. He felt a little lost.
Kian sat on the grass, feeling tired. - It's too hard, he whispered. He wanted to cry. But then he remembered Nani's happy stories. He wanted to make Nani smile again.
Kian felt like giving up. He lay on the grass looking at the sky. - I can't find it, he said softly. But Nani came and sat beside him. - It's okay, little one. You tried your best, she said.
Suddenly, Kian had an idea. - What if it fell in the laundry? he exclaimed. Nani laughed. - That's a clever thought! They rushed to check the laundry basket.
There, at the bottom of the basket, was the golden bangle! Everyone cheered. - You found it, Kian! Nani said, hugging him. Kian felt proud. Honesty and teamwork saved the day!
