Rex barked loudly. Mimi's heart pounded, but she stood her ground. 'I’m looking for my red ball,' she replied nervously.
Mimi felt more and more tired. She thought about giving up. 'Maybe I’ll never find it,' she sighed. As she sat under a tree, tears welled up in her eyes. 'I miss my ball so much,' she whispered. Mimi felt alone and defeated.
