Mara was in her room, listening to her dad's story about Martisor, the magical ladybug who brings the spring. Mara's eyes widened with wonder. - Where can I find Martisor? she asked eagerly. Her dad smiled, - You must follow your heart and keep your eyes open. Mara decided she had to find Martisor before winter's end.
Mara bundled up and stepped outside into the snowy garden. She looked around but saw no sign of Martisor. - Maybe Martisor is hiding in the forest, Mara thought. But the forest was vast, and she felt a little scared. - I must be brave, she whispered to herself.
Mara wandered deeper into the forest, her small boots crunching in the snow. Suddenly, she came upon a frozen lake that was blocking her path. - How will I cross this? Mara wondered. She tried to walk around it, but the ice was slippery and cold. - Martisor must be near, she encouraged herself.
Feeling tired and unsure, Mara sat down on a log by the lake. - Maybe I'm not meant to find Martisor, she sighed. She thought about turning back, but the idea made her sad. - What if I never see the spring come? Mara whispered with tears in her eyes.
