A Lovely Ghost
Bob, a happy eight-year-old with short brown curly hair, loves pretending to be a ghost. But when he stumbles upon a real ghost's secret, he faces a big problem! Will Bob manage to use his cheerful nature and wisdom to solve the mystery and make a new friend?
Bob liked pretending to be a ghost. He found a big white sheet and wore it over his head. While playing with his sister, he jumped out and yelled, "I’m a ghost!" His sister giggled but then they heard a strange whisper. It wasn’t Bob pretending. It was a real ghost calling for help!
Bob wanted to help the ghost. But he couldn’t hear the ghost clearly. The ghost’s voice was too soft and echoey. Bob tried shouting, "What do you need?" His sister said, "Maybe it’s scared." Bob nodded, "We have to listen carefully."
They tried listening, but the ghost’s voice was still unclear. Bob thought maybe the ghost was hiding too far away. They searched the living room and under the furniture. But they found nothing. Bob sighed, "I don't know what to do!" His sister suggested, "Let's keep trying!"
Bob sat down, feeling defeated. "I can’t do it," he said. He was sad thinking he couldn’t help the ghost. His sister sat beside him and said, "Don’t give up, Bob. We need to think harder." Bob nodded but felt unsure. He didn’t want to let the ghost down.
Suddenly, Bob remembered something. "Wisdom!" he exclaimed. "The ghost might know something we don’t." His sister said, "Yes! Maybe we can ask it questions." Bob shouted, "Ghost, how can we help you?" This time, the ghost answered clearer, "Find the hidden key!"
With the ghost’s clue, Bob and his sister searched for the hidden key. They found it under the couch cushion! Bob exclaimed, "We did it!" The ghost appeared, grateful and smiling. "Thank you," it whispered. Bob learned that wisdom and patience can solve any mystery!
