A Maldição do Cabruêra

Justice Watercolor style

In the sun-scorched backlands of Brazil, an 11-year-old boy named Cabruêra faces a tragic curse. Struggling with the weight of an old legend and a desperate need to find water, Cabruêra must overcome numerous obstacles and find justice for himself and his community.

In the harsh backlands of Brazil, Cabruêra, an 11-year-old boy with brown skin and black hair, lived a life of struggle. The sun was relentless, and water was scarce. One day, Cabruêra heard a tale from an old villager about a cursed well that could bring disaster or salvation. Intrigued and desperate, he decided to find the well and break the curse to save his village from drought.

Cabruêra set out on his journey, but soon faced his first obstacle. The path to the cursed well was treacherous, filled with thorny bushes and sharp rocks. His feet ached, and his legs were scratched. He wanted to turn back, but the thought of his thirsty family pushed him forward.

The journey became even harder as Cabruêra encountered a raging river blocking his way. The current was strong, and he had no way to cross. He felt hopeless and sat down by the river, tears streaming down his face. He could hear the river mocking him with its rushing waters.

Tired and defeated, Cabruêra considered giving up. He thought about returning home and accepting the drought as their fate. Just as he was about to turn back, he remembered the old villager's words about justice and bravery. 'I can't give up now,' he whispered to himself.

Suddenly, a wise old woman appeared by the river. She smiled and said, ' - You seek the cursed well, don't you? I know how to help you.' She handed Cabruêra a magical stone that could calm the river's waters. ' - Thank you!' Cabruêra exclaimed, feeling a renewed sense of hope. He used the stone, and the river's current slowed, allowing him to cross safely.

Cabruêra finally reached the cursed well. He leaned over the edge and saw his reflection in the water. ' - It's time to break the curse,' he said. He dropped the magical stone into the well, and a bright light shone from its depths. The curse was lifted, and water surged up, filling the well. Cabruêra returned to his village with the good news, and justice was restored.
