A New Beginning

Courage Watercolor style

In a cozy home, Milo, a four-year-old dog with white fur, faces a big change when a new dog, Reggie, arrives. Initially afraid of this change, Milo struggles to accept his new companion. As Milo encounters obstacles and nearly gives up, he discovers the courage within himself to embrace this new beginning, leading to unexpected friendship and joy.

Milo the dog loved his cozy home more than anything. He had his sunny spot, crunchy carrots, and the love of Jane and Steven. But one day, a new dog named Reggie came to live with them. Milo was worried. What if Reggie took his sunny spot or his treats? Milo felt like his world was turning upside down.

Milo decided to keep an eye on Reggie. But it wasn’t easy with Reggie being so friendly and excited. When Reggie tried to share Milo's sunny spot, Milo growled. Milo's heart pounded. He just wanted things to be the same as before. " - Why is he here?" Milo barked at Jane.

Reggie followed Milo everywhere, even to his special carrot basket. Milo was frustrated. Reggie seemed to be everywhere, wagging his tail and smiling. " - Can I have one?" Reggie asked, pointing to the carrots. Milo grumbled, " - No, these are mine." Milo felt like he was losing everything special.

Milo felt tired of trying to keep everything the same. Every time he turned around, Reggie seemed to be there. Milo thought about giving up and hiding under the couch. " - Maybe I should just be alone," Milo sighed. He lay in his sunny spot, feeling sad and defeated.

One day, Reggie brought a ball to Milo. " - Let's play," Reggie smiled. Milo hesitated, but Reggie's wagging tail made him curious. They chased the ball together in the garden. Milo felt happy and free. Maybe change wasn’t so bad after all.

Milo and Reggie became the best of friends. They shared treats, chased butterflies, and napped in the sunny spot together. " - I like having you here," Milo admitted to Reggie. Milo learned that change could bring new and wonderful things. His heart felt full and happy in his cozy home.
