Laura decided to look by the pond, where they often played. But Bob wasn't there either. " - Oh no, what if he's lost forever?" Laura said to herself. She looked under benches and behind trees, but Bob was nowhere to be found. Her feet were tired, and she felt like crying. " - I can't give up, I have to find Bob," she whispered.
The sun was setting, and Laura hadn't found Bob. She sat on a bench and thought about giving up. " - Maybe Bob will come home on his own," she sighed. But then, she remembered how much Bob meant to her. " - I can't stop now. Bob needs me," Laura said determinedly. She needed a new plan.
Just then, a friendly park ranger approached her. " - I heard you're looking for your dog," he said kindly. " - Maybe try using something that smells like home to guide him back." Laura's eyes lit up. " - That's it! Bob loves my mom's scarf!" she exclaimed. She rushed home to get the scarf.
Back in the park, Laura waved the scarf in the air, calling, " - Bob, come home!" Soon, a familiar bark echoed through the trees. Bob came running, wagging his tail happily. " - Bob, you're back!" Laura laughed as she hugged him tightly. They both returned home, wiser and closer than ever.
