Aarna Wonders What To Be

Tolerance

Aarna, a curious two-year-old from Oklahoma City, can't decide what she wants to be when she grows up. She faces many obstacles as she explores different roles, from a doctor to a firefighter. Through her journey, she learns about tolerance and the importance of embracing different paths and people.

Aarna loved to wonder about what she would be when she grew up. One winter morning, she asked her Pappa, Keyur, " - What will I be when I grow up?" Keyur smiled and said, " - You can be anything you want, Aarna." But Aarna didn't know what she wanted to be. This made her feel very confused.

Aarna decided to try being a doctor. She put on a white coat and used her toy stethoscope. " - I am Doctor Aarna!" she said. But when she tried to listen to her stuffed bear's heartbeat, she couldn't hear anything. Aarna felt sad and confused.

Next, Aarna tried being a firefighter. She wore a red hat and held a toy hose. " - I am Firefighter Aarna!" she declared. But the hose didn't spray water, and she couldn't put out the pretend fire. Aarna felt even more frustrated.

Aarna then tried being an artist. She took out her crayons and paper. " - I am Artist Aarna!" she said. But her drawing didn't look like what she imagined. Aarna felt like giving up.

Keyur saw that Aarna was upset. He sat down next to her. " - It's okay to not know right now, Aarna," he said gently. " - You can try many things and learn from each one." Aarna's eyes sparkled with hope. She realized she didn't have to decide right away.

In the end, Aarna decided to be herself and enjoy trying new things. " - I will be Aarna, the Explorer!" she exclaimed. She felt happy and excited about her future. Aarna learned that it's okay to be curious and explore different paths. With a big smile, she hugged her Pappa.
