One sunny afternoon in New Jersey, Aashvi and Mihir were playing in their backyard. Suddenly, they noticed a trail of mysterious footprints leading into the woods behind their house. Aashvi felt a tingle of excitement, " - Let's follow them, Mihir! It could be an adventure!" Mihir hesitated, " - But what if it's something scary?" Aashvi laughed, " - Don't worry, we've got this!" And so, their adventure began.
Aashvi and Mihir followed the footprints until they reached a big, muddy puddle. The trail disappeared into the water, making it hard to see where to go next. Aashvi frowned, " - How are we going to get across without getting soaked?" Mihir thought hard, " - Maybe we can jump over it?" But the puddle was too wide. They needed to find another way.
They decided to walk around the puddle, but soon found themselves tangled in thorny bushes. Aashvi tried to push through, " - Ouch! These bushes are so prickly!" Mihir was worried, " - What if we can't find the trail again?" Aashvi took a deep breath, " - We can't give up now, we're so close!" They carefully untangled themselves and kept going.
After what felt like hours, Aashvi and Mihir sat on a log, feeling defeated. Aashvi sighed, " - Maybe we should just go back home." Mihir nodded sadly, " - Yeah, it's getting late." Just then, a gentle breeze whispered through the trees, carrying a soft melody. Aashvi looked up, " - Did you hear that? It's like a song!" Mihir listened closely, " - It's coming from over there!"
The music led them to a wise old owl perched on a tree. The owl hooted, " - Follow the sound of the stream, it will guide you to the secret burrow." Aashvi's eyes sparkled with hope, " - Thank you, Mr. Owl!" Mihir smiled, " - We can do this!" They followed the gentle babbling of the stream, feeling more confident with each step.
Finally, they reached a hidden burrow at the end of the stream. Inside, they found a family of rabbits needing help to clear some fallen leaves. Aashvi and Mihir worked together, using sticks to carefully move the leaves away. The rabbits hopped around happily. Mihir beamed, " - We did it, Aashvi!" Aashvi hugged Mihir, " - We were brave, and now we've made new friends!"

One morning, Karim noticed that the waterhole was nearly dried up. “Schnabbi, what are we going to do?” he asked, concerned. Schnabbi seemed to sense the danger and sat sadly in the sand. But then Karim's eyes lit up. “I have an idea! We’ll find the hidden spring the elders always talk about.” And so, Karim and Schnabbi set off on a long journey through the Sahara. Under the scorching sun and through the swirling sand, they marched bravely on. Schnabbi ran close beside Karim, sniffing the ground as though searching for the right path. They walked for days, and their water supplies grew low. But just before Karim was about to give up, Schnabbi began to chirp excitedly and dig. “Did you find something, Schnabbi?” Karim knelt down and started digging. Soon he felt damp sand beneath his fingers. Water! A small stream was seeping from the ground. Karim and Schnabbi jumped up and down with joy and drank eagerly from the cool spring. Karim quickly filled his bottles and marked the spot so he could show the villagers the way. Back in the village, Karim and Schnabbi were welcomed as heroes. Thanks to their discovery, the village would have enough water during the dry summer months. The villagers even built a small basin for Schnabbi, where he could splash around to his heart's content. Karim and Schnabbi remained best friends and continued to explore the wonders of the desert. They made an unlikely team, but their friendship showed that adventure and courage sometimes begin in the most unexpected places—even with a platypus in the middle of the Sahara.
