First, Dax thought they might be outside. He stepped into the backyard, searching everywhere. But the grass was tall, and there were so many hiding spots. Dax looked under the bushes and behind the trees. - Where could they be? he wondered aloud.
Next, Dax decided to check the construction site nearby. It was a bit scary with all the big machines around. Dax tiptoed between the diggers and cranes, his heart pounding. - I hope they're not lost here, he said to himself. But there was no sign of the meatballs.
Dax felt tired and a bit sad. It seemed like he would never find his meatballs. He sat down and sighed, thinking maybe he should give up. - Maybe the meatballs are gone forever, Dax said, feeling defeated.
Just then, a friendly squirrel scampered over. The squirrel chattered and pointed towards the playhouse. Dax's eyes lit up with hope. - Thank you, Mr. Squirrel! Dax exclaimed, feeling encouraged again. He hurried to the playhouse, eager to keep searching.
Inside the playhouse, Dax found his meatballs! They were sitting on a tiny table, safe and sound. - I knew I could do it! Dax cheered, raising his arms in victory. He learned that with courage, he could solve any problem. Dax happily took his meatballs home for dinner.
