The note said that a group of squirrels had lost their winter food supply. Mimi and Momo knew they had to help their friends. They decided to find new food for the squirrels before winter arrived.
Mimi and Momo began their search for food. But the first obstacle they faced was a wide river blocking their path. They needed to cross it to reach the nut trees on the other side. Momo said, - Let's find a way to cross, but Mimi was worried. - What if we fall in? she asked. They decided to look for a bridge.
After crossing the river using a fallen log, Mimi and Momo encountered a prickly bush. The bush was covering the path to the nut trees. Mimi tried to squeeze through, but got stuck. - Ouch! This bush is too prickly! she exclaimed. Momo tried to pull her back. - We'll find another way, he assured her.
After many tries, Mimi and Momo felt tired and sad. They sat on a rock, thinking about giving up. - What if we can't find enough food? Momo sighed. Mimi nodded, feeling discouraged. - Maybe the squirrels will be hungry all winter, she said. They were about to head home when they heard a rustling in the bushes.
From the bushes emerged a wise old owl. - Don't give up, young ones, the owl said, you must work together and think creatively. The owl showed them a hidden path through the trees. Mimi and Momo felt hopeful again. - We can do this together! Mimi cheered. Momo nodded with a smile.
With the owl's help, Mimi and Momo found a new way to the nut trees. They gathered plenty of nuts for their squirrel friends. The squirrels were overjoyed and thanked them. - We did it!
