Ali's First Day at School
Ali is a curious 6-year-old who is nervous about his first day at school in France. He faces various challenges, but learns that wisdom and kindness can help him overcome his fears and make new friends.
Ali was excited but also a little scared. It was his first day at school in France. He put on his white glasses and looked at himself in the mirror. 'I hope I make new friends,' he thought. But Ali didn't know anyone at his new school.
When Ali arrived at school, he saw other kids playing together. He walked up to a group but they didn't notice him. Ali felt left out and wondered if he would ever make friends. He stood alone, feeling very small.
During class, the teacher asked if anyone knew the answer to a math problem. Ali raised his hand but was too shy to speak when called upon. The other kids answered quickly and Ali felt even more nervous.
At lunchtime, Ali sat alone with his sandwich. He felt like giving up and wanted to go home. Everything seemed too hard. 'Maybe I won't ever fit in,' Ali thought sadly.
After lunch, a kind girl named Sophie noticed Ali sitting alone. - Hi, I'm Sophie. Want to play with us? she asked. Ali hesitated but then nodded. Sophie introduced him to her friends and they all started playing together.
By the end of the day, Ali felt much better. He had made new friends and even answered a question in class. - I'm glad I didn't give up, Ali told Sophie. - Me too, Sophie replied. Ali realized that trying new things could be scary, but with a little courage and kindness, he could do anything.
