Courage Watercolor style

Brooks is about to turn two and is excited about all the amazing things he can do! But when he faces his fears, he learns that being brave is not as easy as he thought. Will Brooks find the courage to overcome his obstacles?

Brooks was turning two tomorrow, and he was so excited! He thought about all the fun things he could do. But then, he remembered how he was afraid of the dark. " - What if I can't be brave?" Brooks asked. He really wanted to be a big, brave boy.

Brooks decided he would try to be brave. He thought he could start by sleeping without his nightlight. " - I can do it!" Brooks said to his teddy bear. But when the lights went out, the room felt really big and dark. Brooks felt scared.

The next day, Brooks wanted to play on the big slide at the park. When he got there, the slide looked so tall. " - I'm too little!" Brooks cried. He really wanted to be brave and slide down. But his feet wouldn't move.

Brooks wanted to help bake cookies with his mom. But the mixing bowl was too heavy. " - I can't lift it!" Brooks said with a frown. He watched as his mom mixed the dough. Brooks wished he was stronger.

Later, Brooks tried to build a tower with his blocks. The blocks kept falling down. " - Why won't it stay up?" Brooks asked. He felt like giving up. Brooks wanted to build the tallest tower ever.

Brooks loved to color, but couldn't reach the top of the fridge to get his crayons. " - Help, please!" Brooks called to his mom. She gave him a boost, but he still felt small. Brooks wanted to be tall enough to reach by himself.

Brooks decided maybe he wasn't brave enough yet. " - I can't do anything," Brooks sighed. He thought about all the things he couldn't do. Brooks felt very small and a little sad. Would he ever be brave enough?

Brooks' dad saw him looking sad and sat down next to him. " - Everyone feels scared sometimes," Dad said. He told Brooks that being brave means trying again. Brooks listened carefully. Maybe he could try again.

With his dad's help, Brooks decided to try the slide again. This time, he climbed to the top. " - You can do it!" Dad cheered from below. Brooks took a deep breath and slid down. He felt the wind in his hair and laughed.

Brooks realized he could be brave. He tried sleeping without his nightlight again. " - I did it!" Brooks whispered to his teddy. Brooks felt proud and happy. He knew he could face his fears and be brave.
