Maju wanted to be brave and check it out. But the door was big and heavy. It seemed impossible to open! - I can't reach the handle, Duke! Maju said, jumping up and down. Duke tried too, but it was too high. - We need a plan, Duke sighed.
They decided to ask Mr. Whiskers, the cat next door, for help. But Mr. Whiskers was sleeping on his favorite chair. - Wake up, Mr. Whiskers! We need you! Maju pleaded. But the cat just yawned and turned away. - I guess we'll have to do it ourselves, Duke said.
Feeling defeated, Duke lay down with his toy ball. - Maybe the noise will just go away, he sighed. Maju sat beside him, tail drooping. - But what if it's something scary, Duke? she asked. They both felt a little scared and unsure.
Suddenly, Maju had an idea! - Let's use my favorite blanket to pull the door open! she exclaimed. Duke's eyes lit up. They tugged and pulled together with all their might. Slowly, the door creaked open. - We did it, Maju! Duke cheered.
Behind the door, they found not a monster, but a friendly delivery man with their favorite treats! - We were so brave, Maju laughed. Duke wagged his tail happily. They learned that courage helped them face their fears. Now they could enjoy their treats together!
