Aubrey's First Flight
Aubrey, a brave 7-year-old girl, embarks on her first solo flight to visit her grandmother in Florida. With moms help she gets her ticket and is escorted through TSA to her gate. Along the way, she faces multiple challenges that test her courage. Will Aubrey overcome her fears and make it to her grandmother's loving arms?
Aubrey was excited and nervous about her first solo flight to visit Grandma in Florida. She had never been on a plane before and was a bit scared of flying. Her mom gave her a big hug and said, 'You can do this, Aubrey. Be brave!' Aubrey nodded, clutching her gold necklace for comfort. She took a deep breath and they walked into the airport.
Aubrey approached the ticket counter to print her boarding pass. The machine beeped and wouldn't print her ticket. She felt a lump in her throat. 'What if I can't get on the plane?' she thought. A kind airport staff member noticed and came over to help. 'Don't worry, we'll get this sorted,' he said with a smile.
Next, Aubrey had to go through TSA security escorted by her mom. She placed her bag on the conveyor belt, but the security officer asked her to step aside. Aubrey's heart pounded. 'Why did we have to be stopped?' she wondered. The officer checked her bag and found nothing wrong. 'You’re good to go,' he said, making her sigh in relief.
Finally, Aubrey and her mom reached the boarding gate. The boarding announcement was made, and her heart raced again. She hesitated, feeling overwhelmed by the crowd and the large airplane. ' - I don't think I can do this,' Aubrey whispered to her mom. She felt like turning back, but she remembered her mom's words.
Aubrey's mom hugs her and hands her off to the flight attendant. Aubrey decided to talk to the flight attendant at the gate. 'I'm really scared and I don’t know if I can do this,' she admitted. The flight attendant knelt down to her level and smiled warmly. ' - You are so brave to come this far. Let’s take this one step at a time,' she said. Aubrey nodded, feeling more confident.
Aubrey boarded the plane and even got to meet the pilot. ' - Hello there, young lady! Ready for your adventure?' the pilot asked. Aubrey smiled shyly and nodded. As the plane took off, she gripped her seat tightly but then looked out the window. She was amazed by the clouds and the tiny houses below. When they landed, Grandma was there to greet her with open arms. ' - You did it, Aubrey!' Grandma cheered.
