AUTISMO: ORIENTAÇÃO EM SITUAÇÕES DE CRISE

Tolerance Digital art style

Sam is a brave 10-year-old navigating school, facing challenges related to autism and social interactions. The story tackles a crisis of misunderstanding when a fire drill causes panic, leading Sam on a journey to find tolerance and understanding.

Sam was feeling anxious as he walked to school. There was a fire drill scheduled for today, and the loud noises always made him uneasy. He remembered the last drill when he covered his ears and hid under a desk. His classmates didn’t understand and laughed, making him feel even worse. Today, Sam was determined to find a way to cope with the noise without fear.

As Sam entered the classroom, he noticed a big, red fire alarm on the wall. Just seeing it made his heart race. During math class, the alarm suddenly blared, and Sam froze. He wanted to hide, but the teacher was watching. " - Sam, are you okay?" his friend Lucas asked, noticing his distress.

Sam tried to focus on Lucas's words but the noise was overwhelming. He could see his classmates lining up calmly, while he felt like he was in the middle of a storm. " - Come on, Sam! You can do it!" Lucas encouraged. Sam took a deep breath and followed his classmates outside. But the noise was too much, and he ran back inside, feeling like he'd failed.

Back inside, Sam felt defeated. " - Why can't I be like everyone else?" he whispered to himself. He sat on the floor, trying to block out the noise. The teacher found him and sat down next to him. " - It's okay, Sam. We all have different ways of handling things," she said softly.

Sam listened to the teacher's words and felt a flicker of hope. " - You have courage, Sam," she said, "and that’s what matters." With a new sense of determination, Sam decided to try again. The teacher suggested using noise-cancelling headphones during drills. Sam nodded, feeling ready to face the next challenge.

The next drill came, and Sam was prepared. With his headphones on, the noise was no longer a monster but just a sound. He stood with Lucas and his classmates, feeling proud. " - You did it, Sam!" Lucas cheered. Sam realized that being different was okay and that he could overcome challenges with courage and support.
