Then, as the fishermen turned away, Avery saw his chance. He quickly grabbed the fish and ran. But his paws slipped on the dock's wet planks, and he almost dropped it.
Avery made it to a narrow bridge over a stream, but doubt crept in. " - What if I get caught?" he worried, slowing down. As he looked into the water, he saw another cat with an even bigger fish! " - I want that too!" Avery thought, his heart racing. He tried to grab it, but his fish fell into the stream. Avery was left with nothing.
Avery sat by the stream, feeling sad and hungry. " - I've lost everything," he sighed, thinking about his greed. Just then, a wise old turtle swam by. " - Being greedy won't get you far," the turtle said kindly. Avery realized he needed to change. " - I must be wise and not take more than I need," he decided, feeling hopeful.
