Avery, a fluffy cat, loves fish more than anything. But his greed leads to a big mistake when he tries to take a prize fish for himself. Will Avery learn to be wise and find a way to make things right?
Once in a peaceful little town by the sea, there lived a cat named Avery. Avery loved fish more than anything in the world. Every day, he sat by the docks, hoping for a treat from the fishermen. One day, Avery saw the biggest fish he had ever seen. " - I must have that fish!" Avery thought, his eyes wide with excitement.
But the fish wasn't for Avery. It was the prize catch of the day, meant for the market. " - Oh no, how will I get that fish?" Avery wondered, feeling a little sad. He thought about sneaking up and taking it when no one was watching. But just as he was about to, a fisherman walked by, blocking Avery's path. " - I can't give up now," Avery thought, determined.
Avery watched as the fishermen packed up, realizing he had to act fast. But each time he tried, something stopped him. " - This is harder than I thought," Avery said to himself. Then, as the fishermen turned away, Avery saw his chance. He quickly grabbed the fish and ran. But his paws slipped on the dock's wet planks, and he almost dropped it.
Avery made it to a narrow bridge over a stream, but doubt crept in. " - What if I get caught?" he worried, slowing down. As he looked into the water, he saw another cat with an even bigger fish! " - I want that too!" Avery thought, his heart racing. He tried to grab it, but his fish fell into the stream. Avery was left with nothing.
Avery sat by the stream, feeling sad and hungry. " - I've lost everything," he sighed, thinking about his greed. Just then, a wise old turtle swam by. " - Being greedy won't get you far," the turtle said kindly. Avery realized he needed to change. " - I must be wise and not take more than I need," he decided, feeling hopeful.
