As the sun rose over the Brazilian beach, Ayumi, Takeshi, and Hiroaki eagerly climbed into the family car for their daily ride to school. Ayumi loved spotting dolphins in the ocean as they drove by. But today, their car wouldn’t start. Ayumi’s heart sank as she realized this could make them late. They couldn’t miss school!
Dad tried everything, but the car just wouldn’t start. Ayumi watched anxiously as the minutes ticked by. - What are we going to do, Dad? Ayumi asked. - I’ll figure something out, Dad assured, but his brow furrowed with worry. Takeshi and Hiroaki looked at Ayumi, trusting her to find a solution.
With the car still not working, Ayumi suggested they try to find help. - Maybe someone on the beach can help us, she proposed. They all agreed and started walking. The beach was beautiful, but Ayumi was too worried to enjoy it. She knew they had to hurry.
After a long walk, Ayumi felt unsure. - Maybe we should just go back, she sighed. Takeshi tugged at her hand, - Don't give up, Ayumi. But Ayumi felt overwhelmed, the journey felt impossible without help.
Just then, a kind fisherman approached. - Is something wrong? he asked. Ayumi explained their problem, and the fisherman smiled. - I can give you a lift on my boat, he offered. Ayumi’s eyes lit up with hope.
With the fisherman’s help, they sailed quickly to the school’s dock. They arrived just in time! Ayumi beamed with pride, knowing she’d found the courage to ask for help. - We did it, Ayumi! Takeshi cheered as they ran toward the school. Ayumi realized that sometimes courage meant relying on others.
