Courage Pixar style

Will Barty find the courage to return home safely, or will she get lost in the big world? Join Barty on her exciting, heartwarming adventure!

In a snug little flat where the rain softly tapped, Lived Barty the kitten, so curious and rapt. A calico cat with eyes so bright, She’d watch the world from morning to night. Seattle’s skies were misty and gray, And Barty would purr and watch birds play. The window was her favorite place, To dream of the breeze upon her face. One windy morn, the door creaked wide, A sliver of space to the world outside! Her tiny heart began to race— Adventure called her beyond that space. "I want to see what's out there!" she cried, But fear held her paws just inside. "What if I wander and can’t find home? What if I’m lost and left to roam?"

With a deep little breath, Barty stepped out slow, Into a world so vast below. The streets were loud, the sky so wide, Cars zoomed past and people hurried by. The ground felt rough beneath her feet, And busy sounds filled every street. Then—WOOF!—a bark rang loud and clear, A giant dog was much too near!

Barty crept on, though the world felt grand, She missed her family's comforting hands "How will I get across the road?" I cannot jump it like a toad! Then—splash!—a puddle blocked her way, Cold and wet on this gloomy day. Her tiny paws were soaked and cold, A feeling Barty could not hold.

The more Barty wandered, the more she felt cold, Missing her home and the warmth it would hold. Her tummy grumbled, no food was near, And shadows around her felt heavy with fear. "Maybe I should go back," Barty sighed, As she sat on the sidewalk, eyes open wide. So small and alone in a world so vast, Too big for a kitten so tiny and fast.

Just when Barty felt she couldn’t go on, A chirp overhead broke through the dawn. "You look lost, little one," a bird called near, Its voice so gentle, Barty blinked back a tear. Barty once loved to watch birds in the trees, Dreaming of chasing them with pounces and leaps. She’d wiggle and crouch, her eyes full of play, Hoping to catch one and scamper away. But now as the bird fluttered close by her side, Barty felt different—no need to hide. No games, no chasing, no playful pretend— This time, she wished for a feathery friend. She gave a small nod, her heart feeling sore, Unsure if she could wander anymore. "Follow me," chirped the bird, "I’ll show you the way!" Could a bird truly help? Was it safe to obey?

With the bird’s gentle help, Barty followed along, Through bustling streets and the city’s loud song. Her heart grew lighter with each little stride, As hope fluttered warmly and bloomed deep inside. "I think I know this place!" Barty purred bright, Her eyes shining wide with joyful delight. There stood the park she watched every day— Home wasn’t far, just a whisker away!

At last, Barty spotted her building so tall, "I made it back!" she gave a joyful call. She dashed through the door, paws light on the floor, Into warm hugs and blankets she loved even more. Her family was waiting with love soft and sweet, Home never felt so safe and complete. She’d been so brave to explore and to roam, But Barty now knew—she loved her own home.

That night on her pillow, she purred deep and low, Grateful for comfort and the warmth she now knows. "I won’t forget this day," she whispered with cheer, For even the smallest can be brave without fear. And tucked in her heart, she'd forever hold true, A thank you to the bird who helped guide her through.
