Rio searched through the beach bag, but the boat wasn't there. " - Maybe we left it at home," Mom suggested. But Rio was sure he had brought it with them. The toy boat was special, and Rio felt sad without it. " - I need it to make my sandcastle moat," Rio sighed.
Rio decided to look around the beach for his boat. He asked other kids if they had seen it. " - Sorry, I haven't," said a boy with a red bucket. Then, the tide came in, washing away part of Rio's sandcastle. Rio felt frustrated and discouraged.
Feeling defeated, Rio sat down on the sand. " - Maybe I should just give up," he thought. He couldn't imagine how to find his boat without knowing where it was. " - It's hopeless," Rio said to his mom. She gave him a hug and smiled.
Just then, Mom had an idea. " - Let's retrace our steps," she suggested. " - We can be honest about what we know." This gave Rio hope. They started walking back to the car, talking about every place they had been. Rio remembered he left it in the car's backseat!
Back at the car, Rio found his boat right where he left it. " - I found it!" he cheered. They went back to the beach to finish the sandcastle. " - Honesty helped us solve the mystery," Mom said. Rio nodded, feeling proud and happy.
