Bubbles the Bulldog

Every morning, Rose is there with my breakfast. She always says, "Good morning, Bubbles!" in such a happy voice, and she gives me a little pat on the head. It makes my tail wag right away.

Then, in the evening, Rudy and I get to play! We wrestle and chase each other around. He lets me win sometimes, which is very nice of him.

Rose also gives me baths. I try to bite the bubbles – they're so much fun! Rose laughs and says I'm a silly dog.

But you know, sometimes things happen that I don't understand. Rose cleans my ears with those little cotton things. I don't like it, so I try to hide. And she clips my toenails. Those clippers are scary, so I run away! And one day, she gave me a vitamin, I didn’t like the taste of it, then Rose gave me peanut butter instead but it tastes a little like the vitamin , that was yummy! I don't always get why they do these things. They just do.

One day, something scary happened. We were on Rudy's boat, and I got too close to the edge and fell in! Bulldogs aren't good swimmers, and I was so scared. But Rose jumped in and pulled me out. Rudy wrapped me in a warm towel. They were both so worried about me. After that, they got me a life jacket. Now, I wear it whenever we're on the boat. It's a little strange, but I wear it because they want me to.

Looking back, I see that Rose and Rudy are always there for me. They feed me, they play with me, they keep me clean and healthy. They do all sorts of things, big and small. They just... care for me. And that's what makes my life with Rudy and Rose so good. They show me, in so many ways, that they're always going to be there, taking care of me. And that feels really, really good. I'm a very lucky bulldog.
