Clarence the Cheetah was so excited! Today was the big race at the Grand Savannah Track. But Clarence was nervous because all her friends seemed faster. She wanted to win more than anything! Clarence sighed, "What if I can't keep up with them?"

The race began, and Clarence dashed off with her friends. But oh no! Clarence tripped over a small rock on the track. "Oops! That was close," she said, picking herself up quickly. Her friends were already ahead, and Clarence felt worried.

Clarence tried her best to run faster, but her friend Benny the Bunny was super speedy. She panted, "How do you run so fast, Benny?" Benny giggled and said, "I just hop with all my heart!" Clarence felt a little discouraged but didn't stop running.

Clarence was getting tired, and her legs felt heavy. She thought about giving up. "Maybe I'm just not fast enough," she whispered to herself. But deep down, Clarence knew she couldn't quit. She sat down to rest, feeling unsure.

Just then, Clarence's mother came by. "Why so glum, Clarence?" she asked. Clarence explained her worries. Her mother smiled, "Remember, it’s not just about winning. It’s about trying your best and having fun!" Clarence nodded, feeling a new spark of courage.

With her mother's words in her heart, Clarence jumped back onto the track. She ran faster and faster, cheering for herself. "I can do it!" Clarence exclaimed. As she crossed the finish line, her friends cheered. Clarence realized she had won a more important race—believing in herself!
