Lily and Ben loved walking down the busy street in their town. One day, they decided to count how many things they could find. But counting wasn't easy! They couldn't remember the numbers. Lily said it was a big problem!
Lily and Ben saw a toy shop. They wanted to count the teddy bears inside. But they got confused after two. - Oh no! said Lily. - How many bears are there? asked Ben. They felt stuck.
Next, they went to the flower shop. There were red roses to count! But they forgot to count one rose. - Let's try again! said Lily. They felt a bit sad. Counting was hard.
Lily and Ben thought about giving up. - Maybe counting is not for us, said Ben. They sat on a bench feeling unhappy. They wanted to count but didn't know how. - What do we do now? asked Lily.
Suddenly, they met an old wise turtle. - You can do it! the turtle said. - Start small and take your time. Lily and Ben decided to count slowly. They felt hopeful again!
With the turtle's advice, Lily and Ben counted everything! They counted five teddy bears, three roses, five ice creams, three apples, six books, and seven cupcakes. - We did it! shouted Lily. They learned counting was fun!
