Crushes

Honesty Pixar style

Jennifer, a 10-year-old girl in Japan, has a crush on a boy in her school. She struggles with her feelings and the fear of being honest. Through a series of obstacles and failures, Jennifer learns the importance of honesty.

Jennifer sat at the back of her classroom, looking at Hiroshi, the boy she had a crush on. She wanted to tell him how she felt but was too scared. Every time she tried, her heart pounded, and her words got stuck. She feared he might laugh at her or tell everyone in school. Jennifer felt like she was carrying a big secret.

In the schoolyard, Jennifer's best friend, Asami, noticed her staring at Hiroshi. - Why don't you just tell him how you feel? Asami asked. - I can't! What if he doesn't like me back? Jennifer replied. The fear of rejection was too much for her to handle.

Jennifer decided to write a letter to Hiroshi instead of talking to him. She poured her heart into the letter, explaining how she felt. But when she tried to hand it to him, she saw him talking to another girl. She quickly hid the letter, feeling her confidence wane. - Maybe he likes someone else, she thought.

The next day, Jennifer tried to slip the letter into Hiroshi's locker. Just as she was about to, a group of boys came running down the hallway. - Hey, what are you doing here? one of them asked. Jennifer panicked, crumpled the letter, and ran away. She felt like she would never find the courage.

Jennifer thought about telling Hiroshi during lunch, but the cafeteria was too crowded. She couldn't find a quiet moment to talk to him. The noise and chatter made her even more nervous. - I'll try again tomorrow, she sighed. Each day felt like a missed opportunity.

Back home, Jennifer practiced what she would say to Hiroshi. - Hi Hiroshi, I like you, she rehearsed in front of the mirror. But when she imagined his reaction, she got scared again. Her heart felt heavy with doubt. - What if I ruin everything? she wondered.

Jennifer tried to talk to Hiroshi during gym class, but she tripped and fell. Her classmates laughed, and she felt embarrassed. Hiroshi helped her up, but she was too flustered to say anything. - Are you okay? he asked. - Yeah, I'm fine, she mumbled, feeling defeated.

Jennifer felt like giving up. She couldn't find the right moment or courage to tell Hiroshi how she felt. - Maybe it's better if I just keep it to myself, she thought. She considered never telling him and just keeping her feelings hidden. The thought of being honest seemed too daunting.

Asami saw how sad Jennifer was and decided to help. - You need to be honest, Jennifer. It's the only way you'll know for sure, Asami said. Jennifer realized Asami was right. She needed to be brave. - I'll do it, Jennifer decided. She felt a new sense of determination.

The next day, Jennifer walked up to Hiroshi with a pounding heart. - Hiroshi, can I talk to you? she asked. - Sure, what's up? he replied. - I like you, Hiroshi. I've liked you for a long time, she confessed. Hiroshi smiled and said, - I like you too, Jennifer. Honesty brought them closer together.
