Daddy's Shed

Grace was a curious little girl who loved helping her Daddy. One day, Daddy said, “Let’s build a shed!” Grace was excited to help. But then, Daddy banged his thumb with a hammer. Grace gasped, “Oh no, Daddy! The shed won’t be finished!”
Daddy tried to keep working, but his thumb hurt too much. Grace wanted to help, but she was too small to lift the heavy blocks. She looked at the tools, feeling worried. - What can we do now, Daddy? Grace asked. Daddy sighed, “I don’t know, Grace.”
Grace decided to try again. She picked up her dolly and thought hard. Then, Granduncle James came to help, but he accidentally banged his head. Grace’s eyes widened, “Not again!” she exclaimed. - Are you okay, Uncle James? Grace asked. Uncle James rubbed his head and said, “I’m fine, little one.”
Grace felt like giving up. Everything seemed too hard. She sat on the grass, holding her dolly tightly. - We’ll never finish the shed, she whispered sadly. Daddy sat beside her, “Don’t worry, Grace. We’ll find a way.”
Suddenly, Grace had an idea. She remembered how she and Daddy built block towers. “What if we do it together, a little at a time?” she suggested. Daddy smiled, “That’s a great idea, Grace!” They started stacking the blocks together, slowly but surely.
Finally, the shed was finished! Grace jumped up and down, clapping her hands. - We did it, Daddy! she cheered. Daddy laughed and hugged Grace tightly, “We sure did, thanks to you!” Grace felt proud and happy, knowing her courage helped solve the problem.
