Deara on the Plane

Deara loved airplanes, calling them "Ajoe." She heard a plane fly by and asked, " - Ajoe, where are you going? Take me!" One day, her mom said they were flying to Albania. Deara was thrilled, but worried if Ajoe would take her safely. She wondered, " - What if Ajoe can't fly fast?"
At the airport, Deara held Luli, her teddy bear. She saw a long line and asked, " - Mom, can we go faster?" The line moved slowly, and Deara's excitement turned into impatience. Her feet fidgeted as she said, " - I want to see Ajoe now!" She felt antsy waiting to board.
Finally on the plane, Deara looked out the window, but it was cloudy. " - Where's the sun, Mom?" she asked. The plane shook with turbulence, and Deara felt scared. " - Ajoe, please be steady," she whispered, clutching Luli. Her heart pounded like a drum.
Deara felt like crying. " - Maybe Ajoe can't fly to Albania," she worried. She wanted to give up, missing the sunshine. Her mom hugged her and said, " - It's okay, Deara." But Deara felt unsure and asked, " - Will we get there, Mom?" She felt small and lost.
The flight attendant smiled and gave Deara a small airplane toy. " - Look, Deara, it's a mini Ajoe," said her mom. Deara's eyes lit up as she played with it. She imagined flying above the clouds. " - Ajoe can do it!" she realized. Her heart filled with hope again.
The clouds cleared, and Deara saw the blue sky. " - Ajoe is flying so well!" she cheered. The plane landed smoothly in Albania, and Deara clapped. " - We did it, Ajoe!" she shouted happily. Her family hugged her tight, and Deara felt proud of her Ajoe.
