Ritter Rudi, her brave friend, wanted to help. " - Let's count stars, Karla," he suggested. They tried counting star after star, but nothing worked. Karla felt more tired. " - It's no use, Rudi," she said, feeling hopeless. The stars were twinkling, but her eyes wouldn't close.
Just then, a big cloud covered the stars. " - Now we can't even see them!" Karla cried. The moon hid behind the clouds too, making the night even darker. " - I don't like this," she whispered. Rudi tried to cheer her up with a funny story. But Karla just didn't feel like laughing.
Karla felt like giving up. " - Maybe I'll never sleep again," she sighed. She hugged her favorite teddy bear tightly. " - What if I'm always tired?" she wondered. It seemed like a big, heavy problem she couldn't solve. Her eyes filled with tears.
