Doce Dulce

Dulce was a sweet and curious 11-year-old girl with curly hair. Her life was turned upside down when her mother got a new job in a big city far from their home. Dulce loved her old neighborhood and friends, and she felt scared about moving to a place where she knew no one. The big city was bustling and overwhelming, and Dulce wondered how she would ever fit in.

On her first day in the new city, Dulce felt lost and alone. She missed her friends back home and wished she could go back. At school, she found it hard to talk to her new classmates and felt out of place. Dulce wanted to make friends but didn't know how. She began to doubt if she would ever be happy in this new place.

One day, Dulce tried to join a group of girls playing a game during recess. But they didn't notice her and continued playing without her. She felt invisible and walked away, feeling even more discouraged. Dulce didn't want to give up, but it was hard not to feel defeated.

Dulce decided to focus on her classes, hoping her curiosity and love for learning would help her feel better. But even in class, she felt out of place. She raised her hand to answer questions, but her voice was often drowned out by the noise of the big classroom. Dulce started to wonder if she would ever find her place in this big, busy city.

One afternoon, Dulce went to the park, hoping to find some peace. She sat under a tree and watched the birds. Suddenly, a beautiful, colorful bird landed near her. Dulce's eyes widened with curiosity. She had never seen a bird like this before.

The bird seemed to sense Dulce's loneliness and hopped closer. Dulce smiled and reached out her hand. The bird chirped happily and flew onto her shoulder. Dulce felt a spark of joy for the first time since moving. She named the bird ‘Colibri’ and felt a special connection.

Dulce and Colibri became inseparable. They explored the city together, and Dulce began to see the beauty in her new surroundings. But making friends at school was still hard. One day, she overheard some girls laughing and felt like giving up.

- Maybe I'll never fit in here, Dulce said to Colibri. She felt tears welling up in her eyes. Colibri chirped and nuzzled her cheek, as if to encourage her not to give up. - You're right, Colibri. I can't give up, Dulce said. She took a deep breath and decided to be brave.

The next day, Dulce decided to try something new. She saw a group of kids playing soccer and asked if she could join. At first, they hesitated, but Dulce's determination shone through. She played with all her heart and surprised everyone with her skills.

By the end of the game, Dulce had made new friends. They laughed and talked about their favorite things. Dulce realized that her courage had paid off. She felt proud and happy. Dulce and Colibri had found their place in the big city, and she knew that with courage, she could overcome anything.
