Dot, a curious golden beetle, lived in a beautiful garden in Seattle. One sunny morning, she noticed the morning glories wilting. Dot was worried. Her home was in danger, and she needed to find out why.
Dot decided to investigate. She crawled up a vine to get a better view. Suddenly, she heard a faint cry for help. It was coming from the tallest morning glory.
Dot reached the top and found a tiny caterpillar tangled in the flower. The caterpillar looked scared. - Can you help me? the caterpillar asked.
- Don't worry, I'll get you out, Dot said. She tried to pull the caterpillar free, but the vine was too strong. Dot felt discouraged.
Dot decided to find help. She flew to a nearby sunflower where her friend, Buzz the bee, lived. - Buzz, can you help me untangle a caterpillar? Dot asked.
- I'll try, Buzz said. They returned to the morning glory, but even together, they couldn't free the caterpillar. Dot felt even more worried.
