Johannes tried to remember where his father usually kept the key. He checked under the seats of the trucks and even in the pockets of his father's jacket. Yet, the key remained elusive. The workers started getting restless, waiting for the crane to operate. - I really thought it would be here! Johannes exclaimed.
Feeling defeated, Johannes sat on a pile of bricks, watching the busy site. He thought about giving up. - Maybe I'm just not cut out for this, he said to himself. His father came over and patted his back. - It's okay to feel stuck sometimes, his father comforted him.
Suddenly, Johannes remembered his father's words about wisdom being in unexpected places. He ran to the crane and looked at the control panel again. There was a small sticker with instructions he hadn't noticed before. - Dad, look! There's a reset switch here! he shouted. His father smiled, nodding with approval.
With Johannes's discovery, they reset the crane and it started working perfectly. The beam was lifted into place, and the workers cheered. - You did it, Johannes! his father said proudly. Johannes beamed with joy, feeling wise and accomplished. It was a day well spent on the construction site.
