Ellie, a joyful 4-year old girl, is in her room and painting a masterpieces. She is experimenting with colors as her painting comes together. This book is also teaching the color words in Spanish.

Ellie was a cheerful four-year-old gil with pig tails and freckles on her nose. She loved to paint with all sorts of colors. Today, she decided to create a beautiful masterpiece.

Ellie ran to her mom. - Mom, I need the special blue paint for my masterpiece! But Mom didn't have it. She told Ellie she'd have to find it herself. Ellie felt determined to find the color and win the contest.

Ellie decided to go to the art store. She walked with her mom through the busy streets of NYC. When they arrived, Ellie searched every shelf, but the special blue paint was sold out!

Ellie felt sad. - What if I can't finish my masterpiece? she wondered. But her mom encouraged her to keep looking. They decided to visit the city's big art museum for inspiration.

At the museum, Ellie saw many beautiful paintings. She hoped to see the special blue. She asked a museum guide, but they didn't have any paint to give her. Ellie felt her hope fading.

Ellie sat on a bench and sighed. - I can't find the color anywhere! A kind artist nearby overheard her and offered to help. - Let's look together, the artist suggested.

They searched the museum's gift shop, but no luck. The artist then took Ellie to his studio. - Maybe I have some blue paint you can use, he said with a smile.

At the studio, Ellie found lots of colors, but not her special blue. The artist mixed different paints to create the shade Ellie needed. - Is this the right blue? he asked.

Ellie looked at the new blue paint. - It's perfect! she exclaimed. She thanked the artist and ran back home with her mom. Now she could finish her masterpiece.

Back home, Ellie started painting again. But as she painted, she accidentally spilled the blue paint. - Oh no! she cried. She felt like giving up.

Ellie sat on the floor and thought about the contest. - I can't do it, she whispered. But then she remembered the artist's kindness and her mom's encouragement. She decided to try one more time.

Ellie cleaned up the mess and started painting again. This time, she was more careful. She mixed new colors to replace the spilled paint. Her masterpiece began to come to life.

On the day of the contest, Ellie presented her painting. Everyone loved it. - You did an amazing job, Ellie! her teacher said. Ellie felt proud and happy.

Ellie won a special prize for her honesty and creativity. She learned that being honest and trying her best was more important than anything else. - I'm so proud of you, Mom said. Ellie smiled brightly.
