Erik woke up on a rocket ship, zooming through space. He looked out the window and gasped. Mars was getting closer! But there was a big problem waiting for him. The Mars rover was broken and needed fixing. Erik felt nervous but knew he had to try.
As Erik landed on Mars, he ran toward the rover. The red dust swirled around his feet. But the rover was missing a wheel! Erik scratched his head. " - How can I fix this?" he wondered aloud.
Erik searched the area for the missing wheel. He climbed over rocks and looked under the rover. But he couldn't find it anywhere! " - This is harder than I thought," Erik said, feeling a bit sad. He sat down to think.
Erik felt like giving up. He missed home and worried he couldn't fix the rover. " - Maybe I should just go back," he sighed. But then he remembered how much he loved space adventures. " - I can't quit now," he said to himself.
Suddenly, Erik had a bright idea. " - I can use my backpack's tools!" he exclaimed. Erik opened his backpack and found a wrench. He tightened the loose bolts on the rover. " - It's working!" he cheered, feeling hopeful.
With the rover fixed, Erik climbed in and drove it around Mars. " - Look at all this!" he shouted with joy. He felt proud and brave. Erik's courage helped him explore the red planet. " - I did it!" Erik laughed, feeling like a true space hero.
