Just then, an old man with a kind face appeared. He told them about a secret path that led straight to the lake. They decided to try one more time.
Following the old man's directions, Ethan and Jack finally found the hidden lake. They helped the animals drink and filled up their water bottles. The animals were happy, and Ethan felt proud.
