Finn was sitting by the river, staring at his favorite playground across the water. He wanted so badly to play there. But the river was wide and there was no bridge in sight. " - How can I get across?" Finn wondered aloud. The thought of walking all the way around filled him with dread.
Finn decided to use sticks to float across the river. He gathered branches and tried to make a raft. But as soon as he pushed it into the water, it floated away without him. " - Oh no!" Finn exclaimed, watching his plan drift downstream.
Next, Finn thought rocks might help him cross. He threw big rocks into the river to see if he could walk on them. " - Splash!" the rocks sank straight to the bottom. " - This isn't working," Finn sighed, feeling frustrated.
Finn sat by the river, feeling defeated. " - Maybe I should just give up," he whispered to himself. The playground seemed so far away now. Finn felt a tear roll down his cheek. " - I really wanted to play," he said softly.
Suddenly, Finn had an idea! He remembered the rope in the shed. " - I'll make a swing!" he exclaimed, jumping up excitedly. He ran to get the rope and returned to the riverbank. " - This has to work," Finn said with determination.
Finn tied one end of the rope to a tree and tried to throw it across the river. But the rope kept falling short. " - I need to think of something else," Finn thought. He took a deep breath and sat down to plan.
Finn's dad came over to see what he was doing. " - What's the problem, Finn?" his dad asked. Finn explained everything. Dad smiled and introduced Finn to his zipline idea. " - Let's give it a try," Dad said, helping him set it up.
Together, they tied the rope securely and used the handlebars to test the zipline. Finn's heart raced with excitement. " - I'm flying!" he laughed as he zipped across the river. Reaching the other side, he cheered, " - I did it!"
