Raymond's First Christmas Adventure

Raymond was excited! It was almost Christmas in snowy Ontario. But oh no! The Christmas star was missing from the tree. Without it, Christmas wouldn't feel complete. Raymond had ten days to find it.
The next day, Raymond put on his warm coat and boots. He was determined to find the star. Outside, the snow sparkled like magic. But where to start looking? Raymond asked his mom.
- Where should I look first, Mommy? Raymond asked. - Maybe the snowman knows, his mom suggested. Raymond waddled over to the snowman. But the snowman just stood there silently. The star wasn't there.
Raymond's next idea was to check the mailbox. He opened it wide, but only found letters. No star here either. - Hmm, where could it be? Raymond wondered. The cold wind blew, but Raymond didn't give up.
Raymond's third spot was the bird feeder. He watched the birds fly in and out. But the star wasn't hiding there. - I hope the birds find their seeds, Raymond said. Still, no sign of the star.
Raymond felt a bit sad. He had looked everywhere he could think of. Maybe he wouldn't find the star. He sat down in the snow, feeling glum. - Maybe I should just stop, Raymond sighed.
Just then, a friendly squirrel scampered by. - Why are you sad? asked the squirrel. - I can't find the star, Raymond replied. The squirrel thought for a moment. - Have you tried looking up? the squirrel suggested.
Raymond looked up and saw something shiny in a tree branch. Could it be the star? He reached up as high as he could. - I found it! Raymond exclaimed joyfully. The squirrel clapped its paws in delight.
Raymond hurried home with the star in his hand. His mom and dad were decorating the tree. - Look what I found! Raymond shouted. - You did it, Raymond! his dad cheered. Together, they placed the star on the tree.
As the tree glowed with the beautiful star, Raymond felt happy. He learned that helping others brightens the season. - Merry Christmas! Raymond shouted with glee. His family gathered around, sharing hugs and laughter.
