Mιχάλης was excited and nervous about his first day of school. He loved learning new things, but he was worried about making friends. 'What if they don't like me?' Mιχάλης asked his mom. She hugged him and said, 'Just be yourself and everything will be fine.' With a deep breath, Mιχάλης put on his T-shirt, shorts, and bag.
At school, Mιχάλης saw children playing together. He wanted to join but felt too shy. 'Why don't you go and say hi?' his teacher, Miss Sofia, suggested. Mιχάλης nodded but stood still, feeling his heart race. He watched the children, afraid they might not accept him.
Mιχάλης decided to approach a group playing with blocks. 'Can I play too?' he asked softly. One boy looked up and said, 'Sure, but can you build a tower?' Mιχάλης tried, but his hands shook, and the blocks tumbled down. 'It's okay,' said the boy, 'try again!' Mιχάλης felt a bit better but still unsure.
As the day went on, Mιχάλης felt more and more tired. 'I don't think I can do this,' he whispered to himself. During lunch, he sat alone, feeling like he didn't belong. 'I want to go home,' he thought sadly. Miss Sofia noticed and sat next to him.
Miss Sofia smiled warmly. 'You know, Mιχάλης, everyone feels scared sometimes. It takes courage to try new things, and you're doing great!' she said. Mιχάλης looked up and listened carefully. 'Why don't you join the art class this afternoon? It's a great way to make friends,' Miss Sofia suggested.
In art class, Mιχάλης decided to paint a picture of his favorite place, the beach. A girl named Eleni came over. ' - That's a beautiful painting!' she said. Mιχάλης smiled and said, ' - Would you like to paint with me?' Eleni nodded, and soon other children joined them. Mιχάλης felt happy and realized he had made new friends.
