First Day of School

Ali woke up early, his red hair messy and his heart pounding with excitement. It was his first day of school, and he couldn't wait to make new friends. On the way to school, Ali saw other kids laughing and talking. He wanted to join them, but his feet felt like they were stuck to the ground. He took a step forward, but then he heard a group of kids say, 'You can't play with us!' Ali felt his heart sink. He wondered if he would ever fit in.
In the classroom, the teacher asked everyone to introduce themselves. When it was Ali's turn, his voice trembled. 'My name is Ali,' he said quietly. Some kids giggled, making him feel even worse. During recess, he tried to join a game, but no one passed him the ball. He felt like giving up.
Ali sat alone on a bench during lunch, feeling very sad. He thought about going back home. Just then, a boy named Max sat next to him. - Hi, I'm Max. Do you want to play with me? Max asked. Ali's eyes lit up. - Really? You want to play with me? Ali asked. - Yes, let's go! Max replied.
With Max by his side, Ali felt a bit more confident. They played together and even invited other kids to join. - You're really good at this! Max said. Ali smiled for the first time that day. He realized that making friends was not as hard as he thought. He just needed to be brave and kind.
By the end of the day, Ali had made many new friends. - Today was the best! Ali exclaimed. On the way back home, he couldn't stop smiling. He had faced his fears and found the courage to be himself. Ali knew that with friends like Max, every day at school would be an adventure.
