The child starts gathering leaves again, but the wind keeps blowing them away. A friend joins in to help, but the leaves just won't stay in one place. - Why won't the wind stop? the friend asked. - I don't know, but we can't let it beat us! our hero replied.
They try using their toy rake, but the wind is too strong. Then, a squirrel comes by and starts playing with the leaves. - Shoo, squirrel, we need these leaves! our hero said. But the squirrel just squeaks and tosses more leaves around. It's getting harder and harder to make the pile.
The wind doesn't stop, and neither does the squirrel. Our hero feels tired and a bit sad. - Maybe we should just give up, the friend suggested. But giving up means no leaf pile, and that feels like losing a great adventure.
Then, a kind old owl swoops down from a tree. - Don't give up, little one, the owl hooted wisely. - Use the wind to your advantage! With a spark of hope, our hero thinks, "Maybe we can make a game out of this!"
