One day, while observing ants, he noticed something strange. The ants were moving in an unusual pattern, and José couldn't figure out why. Determined to solve the mystery, José decided to follow the ants.
José followed the ants to a nearby tree, but he couldn't climb it to see where they were going. He tried using a stick to reach higher, but it wasn't long enough. Frustrated, José sat down and thought. He knew he needed a better plan to solve the mystery. Just then, his friend Maria walked by.
José explained the situation to Maria, and she suggested they build a ladder using sticks and ropes. They gathered materials, but the first ladder they built fell apart. José felt discouraged, but Maria reassured him. They tried again, this time securing the sticks more tightly with the rope. The ladder was still wobbly, but it held.
José climbed the ladder carefully, but halfway up, it broke, and he fell to the ground. He felt defeated and considered giving up. Maria looked at him with concern. José sat on the ground, staring at the broken ladder. He wondered if he would ever solve the mystery of the ants.
Just then, an elderly gardener named Don Pedro approached them. Don Pedro had been watching and offered his help. He showed them how to build a stronger ladder using thicker branches and more rope. José and Maria followed his instructions carefully. With Don Pedro's guidance, they built a sturdy ladder.
José climbed the new ladder and finally reached the top of the tree. He discovered that the ants were collecting food to feed their queen. José realized that the ants were wise and organized, just like Don Pedro had taught them to be with their ladder. He climbed down with a smile, feeling wiser himself. José thanked Maria and Don Pedro for their help. He had learned that wisdom comes from perseverance and seeking guidance.
