God's Fairytale
In modern-day Porto, Portugal, Naty and Alex struggle with a crisis of confidence after meeting at a Christian summer camp. With the help of their faith and Jesus, they embark on a journey to find wisdom and solve the problem that threatens their newfound happiness.
Naty and Alex met at a Christian summer camp in Coimbra and quickly became inseparable. They both felt a deep connection to Jesus and each other. However, after returning to their homes in Porto and Lisbon, Naty began to struggle with self-doubt and uncertainty about their future together. She prayed for guidance but felt lost. They decided to seek wisdom and clarity.
One evening, Naty and Alex were sitting in Alex's car, discussing their concerns. Naty sighed, feeling overwhelmed by her doubts. Their first obstacle came when they tried to seek advice from their friends. Their friends had mix emotions as some of them were trying to convince Alex another girl from the camp was the girl for him, but Alex was certain Naty was the one for him.
They visited there local church at the time and spoke to the local pastor, who listened patiently. - Trust in God's plan, her advised, these words and the meditation time was exactly the confirmation Naty needed. Alex finally after almost 2 months of waiting did not hesitate at the opportunity to call his father-in-law and ask permission if he could ask his daughter out. The response was a yes followed by some advice regarding taking things one step at a time.
Their romance began to flourish from there. They traveled back and forth to each others cities while in search of more wisdom and faith in this relationship God had blessed. As things got more serious with time, Alex knew the next step was to fly over to Madeira where Naty's parents live and ask the fathers permission for Naty's hand in marriage.
After praying and taking that leap of faith, Alex bought the ticket and found himself with the engagement ring and in Madeira. Alex spent 5 days with Naty's family and on the last day there he received the blessing from Naty's father to ask Naty's hand in marriage. - None of this is helping us, Naty said, closing a book in frustration. Alex felt the same but tried to stay positive. - Maybe we need to look beyond books, he suggested.
