In the warm town of Coimbatore, Gummi smells something yummy. It's Grandma's murukku! But it's on the tall kitchen counter! Gummi's eyes sparkle. She wants it now! - I want the murukku, Gummi says to her stuffed cat, Sonu.
Gummi tiptoes to reach the murukku. - Almost there, she whispers. But she's too short! The counter is too high. - Oh no! she cries.
Gummi thinks hard. She drags a chair to the counter. - This will work, she giggles. But the chair wobbles! Grandpa hears the noise. - Gummi, what are you doing? he asks.
Gummi feels sad. - I can't reach it, she sighs. She sits on the floor, hugging Sonu. - It's too hard, Gummi whispers. Tears fill her eyes.
Grandma sees Gummi's tears. - Why so sad, little one? she asks kindly. Gummi tells Grandma her problem. Grandma smiles. - Next time, just ask, dear, Grandma says. She hands Gummi a murukku.
