Eric's Journey to Justice

Justice Watercolor style

Eric, an irritable yet friendly young boy, faces a challenge at school when a classmate bullies others. Determined to stand up for justice, Eric must navigate a series of obstacles while learning the true power of kindness and understanding.

Eric was a lively six-year-old boy who loved playing with his friends at school. One day, he noticed something that made him upset. A classmate named Jake was pushing other kids around during recess. Eric knew this wasn't right. " - Why is Jake being so mean?" Eric wondered aloud to his friend Mia. Together, they decided that something had to be done.

Eric decided to talk to Jake and tell him to stop pushing. But when he approached Jake, things didn’t go as planned. " - Leave me alone, Eric!" Jake shouted, pushing Eric aside. Eric felt embarrassed and didn’t know what to do next. He didn't want to give up, but it seemed so hard. " - Maybe we should just tell the teacher," Mia suggested.

Eric tried talking to other classmates about Jake's behavior, hoping they would help. But most of them were too scared to stand up to Jake. " - What if he starts picking on us too?" one of them said. Even his best friend Mia seemed unsure. Eric felt like he was the only one who cared. He knew he had to find a way to make things right.

After another failed attempt to reason with Jake, Eric felt like giving up. He sat alone on a bench, watching the other kids play. " - Maybe I can't do anything to help," Eric sighed. He felt like he had tried everything. Just then, his teacher, Ms. Smith, sat down beside him.

Ms. Smith listened as Eric explained the problem. " - I just want everyone to be happy and safe," Eric said. Ms. Smith smiled and said, " - Sometimes, people need help understanding how others feel. Let's try talking to Jake together." With Ms. Smith's support, Eric felt hopeful again. He realized he wasn’t alone in solving this problem.

Together, Eric and Ms. Smith talked to Jake about how his actions affected others. Jake listened and finally understood how much he was hurting his classmates. " - I'm sorry," Jake said, looking at Eric. From that day forward, Jake started playing more nicely. Eric learned that standing up for what's right is important, and sometimes you need a little help along the way.
