At school, Hedy meets her teacher, Madame Dupont. Madame Dupont smiles and says: - Bonjour, Hedy! Bienvenue! Hedy hides behind her mom, feeling shy. She is not sure she can do this. - Tu vas t'amuser, Hedy, promises Madame Dupont.
In the classroom, Hedy sees other kids playing with blocks and toys. She feels a bit better but still doesn't want to join. - Come play with us! a little boy named Leo says. Hedy shakes her head and stays close to Madame Dupont. She feels like she can't make new friends.
Hedy tries to play with the blocks but they keep falling down. She feels frustrated and wants to give up. - I can't do it! she says with tears in her eyes. Madame Dupont kneels down and says: - You can do it, Hedy. Try again. Hedy feels like she will never be able to build a tower.
Madame Dupont shows Hedy a trick to make the blocks stand tall. - Look, Hedy, put the big blocks on the bottom, she explains. Hedy tries again and her tower stays up! - I did it! Hedy says, smiling. She feels proud and happy.
By the end of the day, Hedy has made new friends. - Do you want to play with us tomorrow? asks Leo. - Yes, I can't wait! says Hedy excitedly. Hedy now loves school and feels happy. She can't wait to come back and learn more.
