Henko the small bear loved to play in the forest with her friends. But there was one thing she couldn't do: climb trees. She would try and try, but always end up on the ground. Henko felt sad whenever her friends climbed high into the branches. " - I wish I could climb like you," she said with a sigh.
Henko's first attempt was to climb a small, leaning tree. She thought it would be easy. But as soon as she tried, she slipped and fell. " - Oh no!" Henko cried, rubbing her little paw. Her friends, the bunny and the baby elephant, tried to cheer her up.
Henko tried again with a bigger tree, thinking it might be better. But it was too tall and too slippery. She felt her paws slide down the rough bark. " - I can't do it!" she exclaimed, feeling frustrated. Her friends watched helplessly, not knowing how to help.
After many tries, Henko felt like giving up. " - Maybe I'm just not meant to climb trees," she said sadly. She sat down with tears in her eyes. Her purple bow drooped as she hung her head. The forest felt quiet, and Henko felt alone.
A wise old pelican wearing glasses flew by. He saw Henko, the cute little bear the wears a purple bow on her head, crying.
The pelican smiled and shared his wisdom. " - Climbing takes practice and patience," he said. Henko listened carefully, feeling hope in her heart. The pelican showed her how to use her claws and balance. " - You can do it," he encouraged.
With the pelican's help, Henko tried again. This time, she felt more confident. Slowly but surely, she climbed higher and higher. " - I'm doing it!" she shouted with joy. Her friends cheered from below.
Finally, Henko reached a sturdy branch and looked around. She felt proud and happy. " - Thank you, Mr. Pelican!" she called down. Her mother and friends celebrated her success. Henko knew that wisdom and patience had helped her reach new heights.
