Hernandez, a five-year-old boy with brown skin, lived in Rome, Italy. One sunny day, he found an old map in his backyard. The map had a big 'X' marking a hidden treasure. Hernandez was excited and showed the map to his friend, Marco. They decided to find the treasure together.
Hernandez and Marco started their adventure but soon faced their first obstacle. The map led them to a big, tall tree. They needed to climb the tree to continue. Hernandez looked up and felt scared.
They tried to climb the tree, but the branches were too high. Marco slipped and fell. Hernandez wanted to give up, but Marco encouraged him to keep trying. They tried again and again, but it was very hard.
Hernandez sat down, tired and sad. He thought about giving up. He felt like they would never find the treasure. Marco sat next to him.
- Let's think, said Marco. Maybe we need a different way. Hernandez remembered his dad's ladder in the garage. They ran back home to get it. With the ladder, they could reach the branches and climb the tree.
Using the ladder, Hernandez and Marco climbed the tree easily. They followed the map and found a small box buried under some leaves. Inside the box was a note: 'Honesty is the real treasure.' Hernandez smiled, understanding the true lesson.
