Sam was so excited! He was going to the Mandaean School today. But there was one big problem. Sam didn't understand the Mandaean language. " - How will I learn anything?" Sam wondered. He felt a bit worried.
At school, Sam tried to read his first Mandaean book. The letters looked like a secret code. " - I can't read this!" Sam said to his friend Ali. Ali nodded, " - It is hard at first." Sam felt a little scared.
During playtime, Sam felt left out. The other kids were playing a game with Mandaean words. " - I don't know what to do," Sam said quietly. His teacher, Miss Sara, saw his sad face. She came over to help.
Sam thought about giving up. " - Maybe I can't learn the language," he sighed. He felt like it was too hard. But he remembered how much he wanted to. " - I just wish I could understand!" he whispered.
Miss Sara had an idea. " - Let's try learning with music!" she said. She played a song with Mandaean words. Sam listened closely and tried singing along. Suddenly, it wasn't so scary anymore!
