Ido and the Bear

Tolerance Pixar style

Join Ido, a funny little boy in New York City, as he faces his fear of the dark while befriending a friendly bear. This delightful story teaches the importance of tolerance and overcoming fears.

Ido loved bears more than anything. But he had a big problem. He was afraid of the dark. Every night, shadows danced in his room, and he couldn't sleep. One day, he heard a rumor about a friendly bear in Central Park. He decided to find the bear, hoping it would help him feel brave.

Ido put on his favorite earrings and tiptoed out of his apartment. But the hallway was dark and scary. Ido's heart raced. He stopped and thought, "What if a monster jumps out?" He took a deep breath. " - I can do this," Ido whispered to himself.

Ido reached the park, but the paths were long and winding. He felt lost. " - Where are you, bear?" Ido called out. Just then, a loud noise came from the bushes. Ido jumped back, his heart pounding. " - Was that the bear or something else?" he wondered.

Ido's legs felt like jelly, but he kept going. Suddenly, he tripped over a log. "Ouch!" he cried. He sat on the ground, tears welling up. " - Maybe I should just go home," Ido thought sadly. But he remembered the friendly bear and how much he wanted to meet it.

Ido sat quietly and heard a gentle rustling. He looked up and saw a pair of friendly eyes. It was the bear! " - Hello, little one," the bear said kindly. " - Don't be scared." Ido felt a warm glow in his heart. " - Can you help me not be afraid of the dark?" he asked.

The bear nodded and said, " - Let's look at the stars together." Ido and the bear lay on their backs, watching the twinkling stars. " - The dark can be beautiful," the bear said, pointing at the sky. Ido smiled. He felt braver already. " - Thank you, bear," Ido whispered.

Ido realized that darkness was just another part of the day. He wasn't so scared anymore. " - I did it!" he cheered, hugging the bear. The bear chuckled warmly. " - You were brave all along," the bear replied.

Ido waved goodbye to his new friend. He walked home feeling brave and strong. When he reached his room, the shadows didn't seem so scary anymore. " - Goodnight, bear," Ido said to his teddy bear. He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep, dreaming of his adventure.
