Ines, Loved by All

Honesty Watercolor style

Ines, a young girl with a love for unicorns, faces a dilemma when she accidentally breaks her grandmother's cherished unicorn statue while visiting the picturesque locales of Punta del Este and Cerdanya. Throughout her journey, Ines learns the importance of honesty as she struggles with guilt, encounters obstacles, and eventually finds the courage to tell the truth.

Ines loved unicorns. She had unicorn toys, unicorn books, and even unicorn pajamas. One day, while visiting her grandmother in Punta del Este, Ines accidentally knocked over her grandmother's favorite unicorn statue. It broke into many pieces. Ines was scared and didn't know what to do. She didn't want her grandmother to be upset.

Ines thought about hiding the pieces of the statue. But she knew that wouldn't be right. As she gathered the pieces, her grandmother walked into the room. Ines quickly hid a piece behind her back. - What happened here? her grandmother asked. Ines' heart raced.

Ines wanted to tell the truth, but she was afraid her grandmother would be mad. As they traveled to Cerdanya, Ines couldn't stop thinking about the broken statue. - Are you okay, Ines? her grandmother asked during dinner. Ines just nodded, feeling guilty. She knew she had to be honest but didn't know how to say it.

Ines felt like giving up. She couldn't find the words to tell her grandmother. - Maybe I can pretend it never happened, Ines thought. But deep down, she knew that wasn't right. She felt sad and alone, even as the beautiful mountains surrounded her. Ines needed help.

One evening, Ines' grandmother sat beside her. - You can tell me anything, my dear, her grandmother said kindly. Ines took a deep breath and told her grandmother everything. Instead of being angry, her grandmother hugged her tightly. - I'm proud of you for being honest, she said.

With her grandmother's help, they fixed the unicorn statue together. It wasn't perfect, but it was even more special now. Ines learned that honesty was the best way. She felt happy and loved. - Thank you for helping me, Ines said. Her grandmother smiled, and they both knew everything was alright.
