Isabela had just moved to Florida with her parents. She was excited to explore her new home. But there was a big problem. The children in her new neighborhood lived on the other side of a swamp filled with alligators! Isabela wanted to make new friends but was scared. " - I need to find a way across," she whispered to herself.
Isabela decided to build a raft to cross the swamp. She gathered sticks and leaves, tying them together. But when she pushed it into the water, it started to sink! " - Oh no, what do I do now?" she exclaimed, feeling worried. The alligators watched curiously with their eyes just above the water.
Isabela tried to think of another way. She saw a fallen log that might help her cross. But as she stepped onto it, it wobbled and rolled! " - Help!" she cried as she fell into the mud. Isabela felt like giving up, but she knew she had to be brave.
Mud-covered and tired, Isabela sat on the edge of the swamp. She felt sad and alone. " - Maybe I should just go home," she sighed. But then she remembered her parents' words: " - You are brave, Isabela." She decided to try one more time.
Just then, a friendly bird flew down and chirped at her. " - Follow me," it seemed to say. Isabela watched as the bird flew over a path of stones in the swamp. " - I can do this," she said, feeling hopeful. Carefully, she stepped from stone to stone, following the bird's lead.
Finally, Isabela reached the other side of the swamp. The children there greeted her with smiles and cheers. " - You did it!" they said. Isabela felt proud and happy. She had conquered her fears and found new friends.
